Seattle PD will be hosting another DUI High 2 Cannabis Education Training w/ “Green Lab” on May 19^th, 2023, from 0700 to 1600 hours.  This training will include up to 4 hours of Cannabis education, to include training on the signs and symptoms often demonstrated by those who have consumed Cannabis and are under the influence of the product and unable to operate a vehicle safely.  This classroom training will be conducted in the morning, followed by an opportunity to do SFST Testing on subjects who may or may not have recently consumed Cannabis.

If you are interested in attending the training, please reply to this email attaching a memo of interest outlining; your current work assignment, how the training will be of benefit to you and your department.  You should indicate in your email that you have received pre-approval to attend the training if selected to do so.

Priority will be given to those who have attended ARIDE, are DRE trained or who work a Traffic/DUI patrol emphasis for their department and have properly submitted the requested information.

Applying to attend does not guarantee acceptance into the training.  You will be notified by Friday, May 5^th if you are selected to attend this training.  There is no money to cover any of your costs to include travel (air, hotel, mileage, etc.…), hotel, per diem or OT.  None of this will be covered if you are selected to attend. All costs will be the responsibility of the officer’s agency.
