The Washington State Legislature has allocated funding to the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) to establish and coordinate an online or mobile-based application (app) for any Washington law enforcement officer; 911 operator or dispatcher; and any other current or retired employee of a Washington law enforcement agency; and their families, to anonymously access on-demand wellness techniques, suicide prevention, resilience, physical fitness, nutrition, and any other behavioral health and wellness supports.

Following a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process, WASPC has partnered with Lexipol, the leader in policy, training, and wellness support for public safety, to utilize CORDICO® as the Statewide Wellness App. Click here for a video overview of the CORDICO App.

The App provides on-demand access to confidential, relevant, and effective wellness information including a complete range of self-assessments and continuously updated videos, guides, and articles on more than 60 behavioral health topics such as:

  • Substance Abuse
  • Burnout
  • Grief and Loss
  • Family Support
  • Suicide Prevention
  • Fitness and Nutrition
  • And more!
The App also provides access to at least 35 vetted mental health professionals (MHPs), trained to work with law enforcement personnel and will allow agencies to add MHP, peer support, chaplains, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) information. The App includes resources specific to law enforcement professionals, corrections professionals, and dispatch professionals. Active law enforcement, corrections, and dispatch professionals; retired law enforcement, corrections, and dispatch professionals; and family/household members of both active and retired law enforcement, corrections, and dispatch professionals will have access to the statewide App, using credentials for their agency. This will allow peer support and chaplain team information to be specific to each agency. Agencies can also add agency specific resources to the App.

The Washington Statewide Officer Wellness App, CORDICO, launched on March 7, 2023.
