Agencies will be required to show proof of participation in statewide traffic initiatives or a local focus on traffic safety, and demonstrate need by a problem ID and describing how the items will address that issue in their jurisdiction. Funding preference may be given to agencies that demonstrate traffic safety enforcement is a high agency priority.

Applications will not be approved if the request is to replace equipment.

Grant applications accepted through Friday, December 22, 2023. Applications will be reviewed by WASPC’s Traffic Safety Committee in mid-January and award notices will be mailed approximately one week after they meet. Only upon receipt of your approval letter may you purchase authorized traffic safety supplies. Please remember that WASPC is responsible for the amount of the grant only; any expense incurred in excess of the grant amount is the responsibility of the agency.
